Assistant Nurse Manager - Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) position is available on Cleveland Clinic’s G91 Pulmonary Stepdown Unit, a 32-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with acute pulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and coordinate unit clinical operations under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Supervise and participate in delivering patient care, ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts, and coordinate patient admitting, discharges and transfers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions, monitor attendance issues and review major operational patient care issues with the Nurse Manager.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.
• Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross
• If in a Critical Care area, an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience

Pay

• Minimum hourly: $39.50
• Maximum hourly: $59.60

Schedule

Nights, 7:00pm – 7:30am. Every other Saturday or Sunday and every other holiday.
