Responsibilities
- Fulfills the role of a registered nurse in collaboration with the management team focusing on daily department operations.
- Supervises personnel and coordinates activities of nursing.
- Ensures all duties are performed in a manner that promotes a team concept and reflects the mission and philosophy of the hospital's Health System.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 3 years - Clinical experience.
- 2 years - Recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher within 30 months of hire. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultations with the Human Resource Leader.)
- Certification within area of expertise or practice (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.) upon hire.
