Assistant Nurse Manager- NICU Fulltime 3rd shift

Position Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the Nurse Director / Manager in overseeing the clinical and business activities on the units.
• Supports coaching and counseling of employees to uphold high performance standards and contributes to performance evaluations.
• Delegates tasks as needed based on patient requirements and staff qualifications, while maintaining day-to-day operations including bed flow, patient rounding, collaboration with other departments, chart checks, and clinical support.
• Models behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction.
• Displays and promotes fiscal responsibility.
• Assists with inventory consignment and purchasing contracts, billing processes, and report generation as necessary.
• Manages staff levels through implementation and coordination of unit staffing for nursing care.
• Maintains oversight of quality metrics and drives performance improvement activities by reviewing charts and coaching staff as needed.

Qualifications Required / Experience Required

• Two years of recent clinical/cath lab experience is mandatory.
• Broad knowledge of nursing practice and the ability to apply specific skills in nursing interventions.
• Competency in management and leadership skills.

Required Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred in a related field.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

• Current New Jersey RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Appropriate certifications as required by specialty or regulatory agency.
