About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse responsible for supporting clinical and operational activities during assigned shifts. The ANM manages clinical and non‑clinical staff, ensures compliance with professional standards and regulations, and implements policies to deliver quality patient care. The role collaborates with leadership to plan, organize, and evaluate services, providing managerial presence across shifts and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff performance and ensure adherence to clinical priorities.
• Monitor compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support coaching, mentoring, and collaboration efforts.
• Participate in planning and evaluating nursing services.
• Provide leadership and support to ensure high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN).
• Washington Registered Nurse License.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Clinical experience in acute care.
• Leadership or charge nurse roles.
• Experience with shared governance.
