Role Overview
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse responsible for supporting clinical and operational activities within a designated shift, reporting to the unit director/manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations
- Implement and monitor policies, clinical priorities, and processes
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and collaboration to deliver high-quality patient care
- Support planning, organizing, and evaluating unit services
- Maintain managerial presence across shifts
- Contribute to performance evaluations and uphold regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BS or BSN); RN license in Washington required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred experience includes clinical practice in acute care, leadership roles, charge nurse experience, and shared governance involvement
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
