About the role
The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer/Infection Control – Registered Nurse assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing, and revising corporate, facility, and Nursing Services policies and procedures within the guidelines of the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the facility, considering recommendations from the CEO, CMO, CNO, Director of Clinical Services, and nursing staff.
- Assist in reviewing the progress, quality, and effectiveness of all nursing programs.
- Assist in evaluating nursing care practices, formulating plans for new programs and changes to existing programs, and initiating/utilizing studies and research applicable to the development of nursing services.
- Ensure all Nursing Services programs maintain current departmental manuals.
- Maintain active involvement and awareness of all patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations, and all other state and federal regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an appropriately accredited school of nursing, licensed by the State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of epidemiology and infectious disease in the hospital.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse; experience with infection control preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Pay
Expected compensation range is $93,000 - $110,000 annually, with potential for quarterly and annual bonus.
