About the Role

This position assists in implementing best practice models and patient care delivery systems across multiple locations. Responsibilities include supporting investigations into patient/family concerns, collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care, allocating resources, supervising equipment and medication use, and maintaining clinical expertise. The role ensures compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements while providing clinical supervision and delegating tasks aligned with scope of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Recommends developmental opportunities and builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships.
  • Solicits and acts on performance feedback; mentors and coaches team members for performance improvement.
  • Pursues professional growth; provides training and supports performance management guidelines.

  • Removes performance obstacles and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Supervises hospital administrative functions, including team meetings, compliance, financial commitments, and data collection.
  • Maintains utilization and productivity targets; ensures workplace and patient safety.
  • Manages care delivery operations in a 24/7 environment, supporting complex work streams and emergency preparedness.
  • Coordinates multidisciplinary teams and holds them accountable for performance.
  • Supervises improvements to operations and technology processes, addressing quality and safety issues.
  • Monitors strategic plans to achieve integrated services across the care continuum.
  • Ensures safe, quality, and standardized care delivery, complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributes to designing and implementing systems to evaluate and improve patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in patient care delivery.
  • Associates degree in Business, Nursing, Health Care, or a related field AND minimum two (2) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a related field OR minimum three (3) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in a related practice area.

Pay

Pay Range: $218,000 – $251,900 per year. Kaiser Permanente strives to offer a market-competitive total rewards package and is committed to pay equity and transparency.
