Assistant Nurse Manager - Continuing Care Center - Gardens

About the role

UR Medicine Thompson Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, a 5-star, not-for-profit long term care facility near scenic Canandaigua Lake.

Key Responsibilities

• Works closely with Nurse Manager to manage the daily operations of the Avenue
• Performs, supervises or assists with resident assessments and documentation
• Performs skin assessments weekly and PRN on indicated residents
• Affirms that quality care is provided through QI Mentors, rounds, chart reviews, etc.
• Participates with precepting of nursing personnel
• Serves as clinical resource person to CNAs, LPNs and other associates
• Affords assistance in developing nursing and other associates
• Maintains monitoring of nursing personnel compliance with resident care plans
• Coordinates clinical care of residents with nursing personnel
• Affirms that physician orders are carried out and integrated into resident care plans
• Continually enhances clinical knowledge in long term care and shares information as appropriate
• Responsible for creating a culture of accountability within the framework of a positive work environment

Qualifications

• NYS Licensed RN - required
• 2 years of long term care experience - preferred
• Strong physical assessment skills
• Supervision experience - preferred
• Strong oral and written communication
• Ability to adapt to changing demands on a daily basis

Position Pay Range

$90,000-100,000/year
