About the role
UR Medicine Thompson Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, a 5-star, not-for-profit long term care facility near scenic Canandaigua Lake.
Key Responsibilities
- Works closely with Nurse Manager to manage the daily operations of the Avenue
- Performs, supervises or assists with resident assessments and documentation
- Performs skin assessments weekly and PRN on indicated residents
- Affirms that quality care is provided through QI Mentors, rounds, chart reviews, etc.
- Participates with precepting of nursing personnel
- Serves as clinical resource person to CNAs, LPNs and other associates
- Affords assistance in developing nursing and other associates
- Maintains monitoring of nursing personnel compliance with resident care plans
- Coordinates clinical care of residents with nursing personnel
- Affirms that physician orders are carried out and integrated into resident care plans
- Continually enhances clinical knowledge in long term care and shares information as appropriate
- Responsible for creating a culture of accountability within the framework of a positive work environment
Qualifications
- NYS Licensed RN - required
- 2 years of long term care experience - preferred
- Strong physical assessment skills
- Supervision experience - preferred
- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to adapt to changing demands on a daily basis

Position Pay Range
$90,000-100,000/year
