Role Purpose

Captures and coordinates patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical accumulation.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, and conducts professional development plans for individuals.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets.
• Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions, ensuring age-appropriate care.
• Creates and implements a collaborative plan of care based on assessments, diagnoses, and medical treatments.
• Supports the review of staff hours worked against scheduled hours and determines appropriate dispositions.
• Manages and approves daily payroll updates, reconciles time cards, and tracks bonuses.
• Prepares and executes staff communications, prepares huddle agendas, leads meetings, and determines staffing needs.
• Makes nursing assignments and assigns overtime, recommends annual increases, interviews staff for open positions, evaluates and conducts performance reviews, drafts and issues corrective actions/coaching, and follows up on disciplinary actions.
• Monitors staff productivity and aligns with the operational goals of the department as set by leadership.
• Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations for areas of improvement if necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree
• 2-5 years of experience
• No supervisor experience required
• RN License

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 5-10 years of experience
• Supervisor experience preferred
