Assistant Nurse Manager Charge Day Shift Operating Room $15K Sign-On
Day Shift – Monday through Friday with no scheduled weekends. Shifts available: 9-hour shifts (4 days/5 days per week, 1 day off per pay period) or 10-hour shifts (4 days per week). Some on-call weekends and holidays required.

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) Day Charge is responsible for the coordination and oversight of daily operations within the surgical suite during daytime hours. This role ensures the efficient flow of surgical cases, optimal staffing, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting OR staff, assigning roles based on case complexity and staff competencies.
- Coordinating surgical case flow to reduce delays, enhance operational efficiency, and improve throughput.
- Serving as a liaison among surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and support departments to ensure seamless communication.
- Responding to emergent situations and reallocating resources to maintain patient safety and care quality.
- Ensuring compliance with institutional policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Mentoring and guiding staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Supporting efficiency initiatives aimed at improving workflow, reducing turnover times, and enhancing patient care delivery.
- Contributing to system throughput by facilitating timely case starts, optimizing room utilization, and minimizing bottlenecks in perioperative services.
- Providing operational support for Gift of Life and Trauma programs.
- Assisting the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of high-quality, efficient care.
- Collaborating with the Nurse Manager to directly supervise all nursing and technical personnel, assess staff proficiency, and supervise daily staffing and scheduling needs.
- Evaluating staff performance and counseling staff members when performance issues are identified.
- Participating in all hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions.
- Functioning as a highly transparent role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors that support staff development and strategic goals.
- Identifying and developing strategies to improve staff knowledge and integrity.
- Directing, mentoring, and supporting all levels of staff on the floor.
- Identifying potential future leaders and engaging in succession planning.
- Analyzing administrative and operational functions; implementing appropriate changes and system-wide improvements.
- Developing, implementing, and supervising performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing required. Master's degree required within 5 years of hire.
- Active RN license required.
- Operating Room experience required.
- 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
- Current CNOR certification required. If not certified at hire, must obtain within six months of start date.

Pay
Hourly pay range: $52.97 - $84.75. The actual salary offered within this range will depend on individual factors including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications.
Eligible applicants may receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus, paid over 24 months.
