Assistant Nurse Manager (Cardiac Cath Lab) - Plainsboro, NJ - Full Time (Day Shift)

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Interviews and hires staff members.
• Counsels employees and follows through with the disciplinary process, documenting appropriately.
• Completes performance appraisals in a timely manner and actively participates in scheduling staff.
• Maintains open communication with staff through scheduled shift meetings and fosters good relationships with other departments.
• Assists in the orientation program for new staff by assigning preceptors, following up on goals, and evaluating progress.
• Plans and implements annual goals and objectives to maintain clinical competency and enhance managerial knowledge.
• Promotes effective risk management and compliance on the unit by educating, investigating, and enforcing hospital and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and Educator to support staff development and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and encourages staff participation.
• Supports customer service and patient/family satisfaction within the department and beyond.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in pursuit or with BSN.
• Related work experience in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures for at least 2 years.
• Active NJ RN License.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Preferred Critical Care Registered Nursing credentials (CCRN).
