Assistant Nurse Manager - Acute Medicine (Nights)

Role Overview This position supports operational functions within an acute care hospital unit, focusing on staff management, reporting, compliance, and service excellence. The role involves scheduling, staffing, developing staff plans, and ensuring regulatory readiness through audits. Responsibilities include managing staffing levels, payroll reconciliation, staff performance evaluations, and professional development. The role also entails leading staff communication, handling disciplinary actions, and overseeing environmental safety plans. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor financial goals, and respond to business changes.Analyze reports, identify trends, and implement corrective actions for patient outcomes and compliance.Perform service recovery and resolve operational issues related to physicians and bed management.Ensure staff meet competency and regulatory requirements through audits and follow-up plans.Manage staff scheduling, payroll, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.Lead, train, and evaluate team members to support operational goals. Qualifications & Skills RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree (minimum) or Bachelor's preferred.2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience preferred, with 5-10 years for advanced roles.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
