Assistant Milieu Manager

Responsibilities

• Implementing therapeutic interventions, activities, and support plans
• Teaching daily living and social skills
• Coaching and mentoring direct care staff
• Implementing program initiatives, goals, and objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
• High School diploma required
• One year of previous related experience in a residential setting
• Satisfactory job performance and attendance
• Candidate must hold or obtain MAP certification
• Understanding of trauma-informed care
• Capacity to role model complex concepts related to therapeutic interventions and safety
• Able to lead and motivate a team and work in a strength-based manner with youth and families

• Effective therapeutic milieu management
• Capacity to role-model complex concepts for staff, including ARC and safety care
• Ability to engage youth in activities and programming
• Ability to work strength-based with youth and families and forge respectful relationships
• Effective communication, documentation, and organizational skills
