Assistant Mgr

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Assistant Manager to join our organization. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of running a dealership, interact with diverse customers, and contribute to our success. Our 90-day training program will prepare you for success, with potential progression into a General Manager role based on performance and prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive training and perform duties in several departments such as office, service, collections, sales, and inventory management.
• Learn lot-level staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
• Set and monitor performance goals with upper management.
• Attend company-sponsored training classes.
• Work alongside associates to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for departmental duties.
• Receive training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate transferability and promotional opportunities.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

• Self-starter mentality and ambitious in nature.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Prior, extensive supervisor experience.
• Ability to solve problems and implement innovative solutions in a variety of situations.
• Computer proficiency and strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience mediating conflict in the workplace.
• Available to work flexible hours and weekends, including overtime as needed.
• Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of, and interest in, automobiles is a plus.

Pay

$40,000 to $55,000 base salary plus monthly bonus opportunities based on dealership sales and collections goals.
