Responsibilities
- Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment and respond to customer inquiries and special orders
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards
- Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory requirements
- Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals
- Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses
- Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment
- Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations
- Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits
