Assistant Meat Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides fast, friendly service to all Price Chopper customers.
• Operates the meat department in the absence of the meat manager.
• Cuts all meat in accordance with trim "specs" and guidelines and ensures the quality and freshness of product in the meat case to promote optimal opportunity for sales.
• Provides excellent customer service (both internally and externally) and courtesy on an on-going basis.
• Adheres to all sanitation guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.

• Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity - Left/Right Hands - Constant (5-8 Hours)

• Squatting/Kneeling - Occasional (1-3 Hours)
• Standing - Constant (5-8 Hours)
• Twisting - Constant (5-8 Hours)
• Walking - Constant (5-8 Hours)
• Lifting - Frequent (3-5 Hours) up to 50lbs
• Pushing/Pulling - Occasional (1-3 Hours) up to 2400lbs
