Assistant Marketing Manager
This role supports Ecolab’s Corporate and Global / Corporate Accounts events through day-to-day activities, content creation, coordination, and logistics, primarily for the Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and Food Retail Services (FRS) divisions. The Assistant Marketing Manager will collaborate with broader Marketing teams and other functional areas to deliver customer and industry meetings and events that drive new business, innovation, and program growth. Based in Greensboro, NC, this position reports to the Director of QSR Marketing (North America).
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to support QSR and FRS businesses through strategic planning and execution of internal and external meetings and events.
- Develop the vision for design and branding at all events in collaboration with Creative Services; directly support content creation as needed.
- Order all supplies and materials for events and maintain structure, product, and asset inventories.
- Serve as the primary event contact and manage vendor relationships, ensuring clear and proactive communication to meet deadlines.
- Manage show services for each event, including shipping, utilities, installation, and strike.
- Create, maintain, and reconcile budget documents to ensure accurate expense tracking for all events.
- Oversee third-party literature fulfillment partner, including inventory and ordering processes.
- Manage off-site booth storage—both third-party and internal facility.
- For all customer events, manage positioning strategy and go-to-market communication of the value proposition; develop messaging, creative concepts, and deliver content that supports brand strategy.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards and guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of event planning experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Minimum of three years of creative design experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and coordinate projects across different functional groups regionally.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks.
- Understanding and commitment to customer priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Well-developed leadership qualities with an ability to create strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Special Considerations
- Travel required (approximately 10%), including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $107,600.00 - $161,500.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are considered when determining compensation, including experience, education, training, and geography.
