About the role

A day in the life as an Assistant Sales Department Manager involves leading a team to achieve sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service. You will assist the department manager in executing business plans, maintaining merchandising standards, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate your team to ensure their success.
• Assist the department manager in achieving volume and productivity goals by developing and executing a business plan.
• Teach, coach, and lead by example to ensure salespeople deliver outstanding customer service.
• Work with the department manager to meet merchandising and presentation standards.
• Build long-lasting customer relationships and create a loyal following by actively selling on the floor.
• Assist in accurate inventory management and achieve shrinkage goals.

Requirements

• A track record of successful results, such as strong productivity or personal sales performance.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to thrive in a commission-based environment.
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
• Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with managers and leaders.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Pay

Hourly pay range: $22.75 - $30.75, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.
