About the Role
The Assistant Manager role at The Hawthorne with Olympus Property blends finance, leasing, and resident relations. This position requires adaptability, as daily tasks can shift unexpectedly, especially in a busy community.
Responsibilities
- Own financial operations, including rent collection, daily deposits, delinquency follow-up, and move-out account statements.
- Resolve disputes over charges or payments and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Inspect make-ready apartments before move-in to ensure quality for new residents.
- Support the leasing team by showing apartments, contributing to retention efforts, and organizing community events.
- Step into the Property Manager’s role when needed, requiring a broad understanding of the entire operation.
- Handle resident complaints promptly, escalating liability or legal issues as necessary.
Requirements
- Prior onsite experience as an Assistant Manager or a cross-trained Leasing Consultant.
- Proficiency with RealPage, Knock, or Onesite (strongly preferred).
- Strong time management, especially when juggling multiple priorities.
- Ability to lead the team in the Property Manager’s absence.
- Clear and steady communication with residents during conflicts or complaints.

- Awareness of the local submarket, including nearby construction, hiring trends, and competing communities, to inform occupancy strategies.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with flexibility required for resident events and the first weekend of each month.
Pay
$21 to $24 per hour, depending on experience and location, with additional monthly renewal incentives and quarterly bonuses.
