Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary backup to the General Manager; lead the DC in their absence.
  • Work closely with 3PL leadership to forecast labor needs, align daily workflow, and uphold productivity expectations.
  • Partner with Customer Service, IT, Quality, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support and lead initiatives that reduce cost, improve workflow efficiency, and increase order accuracy.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive corrective actions with 3PL partners and internal teams.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee key warehouse processes, including inbound/outbound operations, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and returns.
  • Investigate issues such as mis-ships, system discrepancies, or product quality concerns; implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Lead critical DC administrative tasks such as reporting of inbound receipts, ensuring availability of warehouse supplies, coordination with building vendors, and document preparation for exports, cross-docks, and factory direct shipments.
  • Support special projects such as warehouse reorganization, layout improvements, and process changes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or DC operations (3PL experience a plus).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a 3PL-managed environment.
  • Analytical mindset with a drive to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on operational environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 3-5 years working experience in either Supply Chain oriented or Warehouse Distribution environment.
  • Experience in the Optical Industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial invoice formats & import/export procedures.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
