The Assistant Manager at GTE Financial is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Community Financial Center, managing up to three full-time equivalent employees, and ensuring exceptional member and employee experiences.

About the role

The Assistant Manager is the go-to person for the Community Financial Center, assisting in generating leads for various internal partners and building strong member relationships. They are also responsible for monitoring and addressing performance issues, leading the team in giving back to the community, and supporting the Branch Manager in achieving objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and empower the sales team to achieve the highest performance and meet objectives set forth by leadership.
  • Prepare timely evaluations that accurately measure employee performance and provide direction for future growth and development.
  • Ensure employees provide quality member service by identifying and recommending GTE Financial products and services that meet member expectations and financial objectives.
  • Work closely with the Operations Support Managers to adhere to GTE's Branding standards and focus on quality control and process improvements.
  • Qualify for or hold Level II lending authority as prescribed by GTE Financial Consumer Lending.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a financial institution or related field with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • A functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other relevant federal laws.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of lending practices, including credit bureau reports, underwriting criteria, and basic lending philosophy.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Must qualify for or hold NMLS registration according to Safe Act regulations.

Qualifications

  • An associate degree preferred or a combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of lending practices and the ability to interpret credit bureau reports, underwriting criteria, and basic lending philosophy.
  • Experience in a financial institution or related field with supervisory experience.
  • Ability to coach and empower a team to achieve high performance and meet objectives.

Schedule
