Assistant Manager, Retail
About the Role
Join Krispy Kreme as an Assistant Manager and work in partnership with our General Managers to create a WOW experience for our customers. You will support shop operations, foster teamwork, develop staff competencies, and help meet and exceed shop goals. This role is designed to grow your skills on your journey to becoming a General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage and build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
- Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and resolving team member disputes.
- Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
- Assist with in-shop accounting functions, including cash handling, financial reporting, revenue counting/depositing, and inventory control.
- Ensure equipment (production, POS, retail, drive-thru, processing) is operational for team use.
- Maintain high standards of shop sanitation and cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by nurturing a culture where all identities are welcomed and loved.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in food service or retail.
- Commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where employees are empowered to showcase their originality.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Travel requirements: 0-10%.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels in the shop.
- Exposure to known allergens, including nuts.
- Non-air-conditioned production environment.
- Noise typical of a production and/or processing area.

Pay
Starting pay is $21.00 per hour.
