About the role

Monitor compliance of United's off-wing maintenance activities with approved policies and procedures, and governmental regulatory requirements. Support QA team by providing direction on policy or regulatory requirements. Ensure administrative tasks are completed and become a Subject-Matter Expert in the technologies used within the department (SCEPTRE, QAAS, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Technical Operations Quality Assurance auditors' activities including development, implementation and execution of all scheduled, unscheduled audit activities, investigations and special projects
  • Direct team to ensure all planned audits are accomplished to minimize operational impact while maintaining highest level of safety and regulatory compliance
  • Perform or support audit and investigation activities
  • Plan and update schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize operational impact
  • Interface with other work groups and auditees to handle various requests, actions or questions
  • Lead or support various type of projects to improve efficiency and streamline QA activities
  • Represent QA in meetings and working sessions
  • Other activities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a minimum of 2 years in quality role
  • Strong background and knowledge of aircraft maintenance systems and UA policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • A&P License
  • CASE qualification
  • 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with minimum of 4 years in quality role

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $89,965.00 to $117,212.00, eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
