Assistant Manager - Optical
Job Description
Maintain and meet profit, sales, and performance targets (reviewing the Profit and Loss statement).
Optimize and manage the eyeglass department for efficiency and adherence to company policies and operational guidelines.
Promote and ensure exceptional customer service, motivating associates to uphold these standards.
Ensure that quality standards are consistently met, reviewing remakes and enforcing policies.
Communicate regularly with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office, providing necessary store reports.
Coordinate and implement store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising, ensuring all associates and doctors are informed of current promotions.
Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (or Receptionists), ensuring timely completion of daily tasks.
Assist the General Manager in forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining a high-caliber staff.
Encourage associates to exceed performance expectations through motivation and leadership.
Qualifications
Optical sales experience is required, with supervisory experience being preferred.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong relationships with associates.
Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) for managing teams effectively.
Strong customer service skills to ensure satisfied customers and motivated associates.
Organizational skills to plan work and monitor progress towards goals.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve issues of varying complexity.
