Assistant Manager - Optical
Job Description
Maintain and exceed profit, sales, and performance targets.
Optimize and manage the eyeglass department to ensure operational excellence and adherence to company policies.
Promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring all associates uphold these standards.
Ensure that all quality standards are met, including reviewing remakes and enforcing relevant policies.
Communicate effectively with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office, providing necessary store reporting.
Implement and manage store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising to enhance customer engagement.
Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates, ensuring they meet their daily and long-term objectives.
Assist the General Manager in forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining a skilled workforce.
Encourage and support associates in achieving and exceeding performance benchmarks.
Qualifications
Optical sales experience is required.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong relationships with team members.
Strong understanding of store operations and the ability to achieve success within those parameters.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively manage and motivate teams.
Outstanding customer service skills to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
Strong organizational skills to plan tasks, monitor progress, and align with overall business goals.
The ability to analyze and interpret financial reports to make informed decisions.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills to address challenges and improve processes.
