About the role
BachToRock is a family-owned, growing enterprise focused on the business of Music Education. We are seeking an Assistant Manager- Music Education to support the Site Director in the daily operations and responsibilities of the school.
Responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day music education operations of the school:
- Supervise arrival and departure of students
- Provide support to instructors as needed for teaching activities
- Maintain complex schedules of classes, staff, and students
- Administer daily enrollment, scheduling, retail sales and billing adjustments
- Affirm cleanliness of facility
- Responsible for timely opening and closing of the school, in conjunction with other management
- Provide exceptional customer service:
- Greet customers and students in a personable and courteous manner
- Proactively communicate operational information with customers
- Foster a positive environment where people feel welcome, acknowledged, appreciated and want to 'hang out'
- Support the expansion of the Music Education Business:
- Warmly greet prospective customers on the phone and in person
- Give facility tours
- Explain the BachToRock philosophy and method to prospective customers
- Stay up to date on continually updating B2R curriculum
- Follow up with prospective customers in person and over the phone
- Support external marketing events
- Aid in student recruitment and retention of private lessons, bands, classes, and camps
- Teach private lessons and group classes, as needed and approved by Site Director
Requirements
- Computer literate (Microsoft office)
- Can solve logistical challenges
- Effective time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at one time
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work in very fast-paced environment
- Can work the hours required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Business management and/or retail sales experience is preferred but not required
