Job Summary

The Donations Assistant Manager supports the Donations Manager in Trucking, Deconstruction, and Procurement. They work closely to ensure ReStores are fully stocked with saleable items, focusing on smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day management of truck teams, including safety protocols, vehicle maintenance, time management, and donor satisfaction
  • Manage truck donation scheduling for efficiency and donor satisfaction
  • Coordinate volunteer coverage for Deconstruction projects
  • Procure donations to stock ReStores
  • Divert donations to appropriate stores based on need, sales goals, and space
  • Process truck team expenses, including receipts and fleet maintenance costs
  • Manage team schedules and handle vacations to keep trucks operational
  • Support staff performance reviews and record keeping

Requirements

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work with various personalities towards achieving departmental and organizational goals
  • Strong team approach
  • Current NC Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Forklift certification is recommended

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay Range: $26.50-$29.00
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30-5:00 pm with flexibility to work other days/hours occasionally
