About the role
As an Assistant Manager in the Information Technology Management (ITM) department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT team, ensuring that all systems and services are running smoothly. You will also be tasked with managing the IT budget, coordinating with external vendors, and providing technical support to staff.Responsibilities
- Oversee the IT team and ensure efficient operation of all IT systems.
- Manage the IT budget and coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software purchases.
- Provide technical support to staff and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of IT resources.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and coordinate with external vendors.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.
- Knowledge of IT project management methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Experience with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
