Job Summary

The In-Room-Dining Manager position is responsible for the daily operations in Room Service. They supervise, train, and assist colleagues to follow standards in the delivery of food and beverage to guestrooms and Private Homes. They work closely with the Culinary and Beverage teams to ensure One&Only service standards exceed the experience of the guest.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervises, trains, directs, develops and manages colleagues
  • Manages all day-to-day operations within the In Room Dining operation to ensure service standards exceed the experience of the guest
  • Cookware and other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of room service orders
  • Review payroll, manage schedules, maintain labor costs, and adapt operations based on guest needs and trends
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and other regulatory Food and Beverage items to include Tips and Service Charges
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food within In Room Dining
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
  • Create total awareness of in-house VIPs and review names with staff members during pre-service meetings
  • To assist with any other duties that are required by the member of the management team

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience at a similar level
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel operation with recognized high standards
  • Experience in 5*, an upmarket resort would be an advantage but not a requirement

Physical Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
