Assistant Manager (Indeed Event)
About the Role
Panda Express is searching for experienced leaders to join our store management team. As an Assistant Manager, you are in charge of assisting the operation of a single store, including hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve financial goals and ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. We provide a 3+ week Store Management Leadership Training program to prepare you for success.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation of a single store
- Hire, manage, and direct associates to meet financial goals
- Ensure delivery of exceptional guest experiences
- Work flexible hours, including opening/closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Must be flexible to relocate to a store within a 50-mile radius of your home
- Serve Safe certified (Food Safety)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to four hours, and reach across countertops
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-noise, hot kitchen environment with restricted workspace
- Effective verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to manage conflicts and difficult situations
Work Environment
While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam tables and food vapors. Workspace is restricted, and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods. Tasks include preparing hot and cold foods, using kitchen equipment (e.g., Chinese cook knife), and working quickly without losing accuracy. Kitchens are hot, noise levels are high, storage space is limited, and shelving is high.
