Responsibilities
- Administers marketing and customer service operations for academic year, summer, conference housing, and special group accommodations.
- Assists the Managers in the hiring, training, and supervision of seasonal staff (including interns, student assistants, and linen crew).
- Affords assistance in the formulation and interpretation of housing policies and procedures.
- Ensures accurate recordkeeping related to posting and billing of room rental charges, bed nights, damage billing, and special fees.
- Coordinates housing support activities by working closely with Housing, Facilities, Residential Programs, Public Safety, and Campus Services.
- Provides on-site administrative and information support related to assignments during the calendar year.
- Affords assistance in concerns and disciplinary cases involving interns and conference housing guests.
- Performs appropriate follow-up and evaluation related to conference and special housing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or its equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
- Superior customer service skills with demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, patience, and tact.
- Self-starter with the ability to work within a busy office.
- Specific experience desired in housing, conference housing, hotel management, or event management.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Proven ability to function independently and effectively with a broad constituency.
