Assistant Manager - Franklin MA

Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains relations with vendors, stores, and independent contractors.
- Ensures follow-up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims.
- Responsible for coordinating flow for communication between Haulers/Delivery teams and Local Client Management Teams.
- Provides on-site presence on a daily basis to ensure Haulers/Delivery teams are following procedures.
- Dispatches trucks using GPS technology.
- Oversees in-home delivery for customers.
- Interfaces with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery for customers.
- Maintains monthly operating reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
- Oversees recruiting, processing, and performance of Haulers.
- Attendance and Punctuality are essential functions of the job.
- Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and providing direction; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Related Field
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good time management skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a Supervisor role, including performance reviews of direct reports
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills to deal with a variety of problems and come up with creative solutions.
- Must be Self-Motivated to work with little supervision
- Positive Attitude and ability to work with others
- Ability to efficiently analyze, organize, and report data using Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners.
Physical Requirements
This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, stoop, bend, and reach. Extensive use of a phone and a PC is required.
Schedule
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday (this role is on-site 5 days/week)
Hours: 11 am to 8 pm
