Assistant Manager FOH Kitchen - Plum Market
About the role
The Prepared Foods Assistant Team Leader – Front of House (FOH) supports the daily operations of the Prepared Foods Department, ensuring all food stations are fresh, full, and clean. This role leads by example in delivering exceptional Customer Service, managing FOH team performance, and partnering with Back of House (BOH) leadership to create a cohesive, high-performing environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a seamless FOH experience and cohesive department leadership.
- Provide outstanding Customer Service and model best-in-class service standards for the team.
- Oversee the daily operation of FOH revenue centers, ensuring full, fresh, and visually appealing displays.
- Lead catering production and service, building strong relationships with catering Guests.
- Interview, hire, train, and develop Team Members, providing clear expectations and consistent feedback.
- Support scheduling and labor management in alignment with budget and department needs.
- Address Guest and Team Member concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with Store Leadership on performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain all food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures in accordance with Plum Market policies.

Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in foodservice or retail, with a focus on Customer Service and team development.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, labeling, and product rotation practices.
- Catering experience and comfort in leading both in-house and external food service execution.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
- Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Pay
Competitive holiday pay: Earn time and a half for working on five federally recognized holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.
