Responsibilities
- Administers the overall activities of the venue’s operation on assigned shift.
- Establishes and administers training programs within the assigned venues.
- Counsels, guides and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
- Direct the development and administration of controls for all phases of the venue in an economical and profitable manner while maintaining established standards.
- Affords assistance in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and inspects menu items for maximum customer satisfaction.
- Supervises staff on shift and ensures proper staffing levels in order to provide high standards of service with minimum labor hours.
- Maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety policies and procedures and follows up to ensure that hazards are eliminated.
- Makes sure food served is clean and communicates deviations from standard.
- Performs assigned input work in compiling annual budgets.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Two years direct management experience
- Strong working knowledge in the food and beverage industry; restaurant, bar, or banquets
- Ability to maintain responsible alcohol service certification
- Ability to communicate via written and verbal formats
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and team members
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Ability to perform statistical analyses
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to work all shifts and holidays
- Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
