Assistant Manager - Aventino's Italian Restaurant - Dulles International Airport

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining and monitoring cost, revenue, labor and inventory control.
• Ensuring quality of products and services are up to company, franchise, brand/concept, and regulatory agency requirements.
• Maintaining effective communication and positive associate relations by managing progressive discipline, resolving associate relations issues, and conducting performance reviews.
• Recruiting, selecting, promoting, and training associates, and managing other status changes as needed.
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with airport requirements and regulatory agencies.
• Operating the unit in compliance with company and brand standards, and following safe food handling and hygiene practices.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or completion of a technical school program in restaurant management/food service, etc., highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in restaurant/food service with 2 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to obtain alcohol awareness and/or ServSafe Food Safety certification.
• Understanding of restaurant operations, P&L and sales reports, and ability to lead and motivate subordinate staff.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and visually navigate through the unit.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 30 lbs., reach, grasp, push, pull, stoop, and bend.
