Assistant Manager

About the role

Our managers are tasked with running the operations to ensure that our guests get the one-of-a-kind experience they expect at every Sonny’s location. Managers are the go-to resource for all hourly team members, addressing individual needs and concerns daily to maintain a safe, professional, and engaging atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating hourly team members.
• Provide clear benchmarks and expectations to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Oversee and ensure hourly team members’ performance meets company expectations through constant follow-up and communication.
• Respond to immediate store needs and ensure exceptional guest service.
• Execute all operations policies, procedures, and programs within the store.
• Report information to the General Manager through plans of action, AORs, and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have the flexibility to work at least 45 hours per week, with additional hours required during peak seasons or business needs.

Requirements

• At least two years of restaurant management experience.
• Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Solid reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Demands

Managers regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Pay

$45,000–$52,000 yearly salary.
