Assistant Manager

About the role

Join ACGBBQ, LLC., a licensed franchisee of Sonny’s BBQ, where managers are the key to our success. You’ll oversee daily operations to ensure every guest enjoys the exceptional experience Sonny’s is known for.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate hourly team members.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and engaging restaurant atmosphere.
• Serve as the primary resource for hourly team members, addressing their needs and concerns daily.
• Set clear benchmarks and expectations to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Monitor and ensure hourly team members meet company performance standards through consistent follow-up.
• Respond to immediate store needs and ensure exceptional guest service.
• Execute all operational policies, procedures, and programs to uphold Sonny’s standards.
• Work at least 45 hours per week, with flexibility for up to 50 hours during peak seasons or as business needs require.
• Report to the General Manager through action plans, goals, and other updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least two years of restaurant management experience.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English, including interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Experience using computers, including Microsoft Office programs.

Skills

• Excellent communication, including writing routine reports and speaking effectively to guests and employees.
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds regularly, 35 pounds frequently, and 75 pounds occasionally.

Pay

$48,000–$52,000 yearly salary.
