Assistant Manager

About the role

Sares Regis Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to join their team at the beautiful 149-unit community, Pendant on Topanga in Canoga Park, CA.

Responsibilities

• Assumes Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in absence
• Aids in training and development of the team
• Aids in scheduling of employee work times
• Reviews daily rent recommendations and identifies income opportunities
• Collects current and delinquent rent according to company and property policy
• Implements timely legal action, including court appearances
• Posts invoices; uses purchase orders; codes invoices with correct GL coding; submits security deposit reconciliation on time
• Reviews move-in and move-out files for thorough and accurate completion; verifies information is timely and accurately entered into property software system
• Completes or verifies completion of accurate and timely weekly reports
• Reviews monthly financial reports with the property manager; assists in completing variance reports
• Aids in resolving resident and prospective resident conflicts
• Reads, follows, and implements company and employee handbooks, property policy manuals, and any other governing documents

Qualifications

• 2 years of related property management experience with ability to pass fair housing exam
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Knowledge of operations software used at the property level (Outlook, Internet software, EXCEL, WORD)
• Current driver's license and auto insurance
• Able to work weekends and overtime as required

Pay

Salary range is $26.00-$30.00/hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location.
