About the role
Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced property management professional to join their team at Aspire at Live Oak, a 240-unit community. The Assistant Community Manager will assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Community Manager, assist in the training and development of the team, and handle various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assumes Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in absence
- Aids in the training and development of the team
- Aids in scheduling employee work times
- Reviews daily rent recommendations and identifies income opportunities
- Collects current and delinquent rent according to company and property policy
- Implements timely legal actions, including court appearances
- Posts invoices, uses purchase orders, codes invoices with correct GL coding, and submits security deposit reconciliations on time
- Reviews move-in and move-out files for thorough and accurate completion, verifying information is timely and accurately entered into the property software system
- Completes or verifies completion of weekly reports
- Reviews and assists in completing monthly financial reports and variance reports
- Assists Community Manager in resolving resident and prospective resident conflicts
- Reads, follows, and implements company and employee handbooks, property policy manuals, and governing documents
Qualifications
- 2 years of related property management experience
- Ability to pass fair housing exam
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic math skills (calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages)
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Knowledge of operations software used at the property level (Outlook, Internet software, Excel, Word)
- Current driver's license and auto insurance
- Able to work weekends and overtime as required
