Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility for controlling day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and motivating the team, building sales to meet and exceed store plans, and ensuring company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling labor and ordering food and supplies
• Developing the restaurant team
• Fulfilling OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures
• Maintaining inventory and managing labor
• Reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions
• Ensuring compliance with Human Resources practices and labor laws
• Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
• Conducting performance appraisals, counseling, and training the entire team, including Assistant Managers
• Utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies and community involvement to build sales
• Maintaining company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds through a preventative maintenance program
• Leading a team with respect
