Assistant Manager
About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility for controlling day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing team members, building sales to meet and exceed store plans, and ensuring company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling labor
- Ordering food and supplies
- Developing the restaurant team
- Ensuring OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures are followed
- Maintaining inventory
- Managing labor
- Reviewing financial reports
- Taking appropriate actions
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
- Conducting performance appraisals, counseling, and training the entire team, including developing Assistant Managers
- Utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies and community involvement to build sales and meet store plans
- Maintaining company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds through a preventative maintenance program
Requirements
- Minimum of six months of managerial experience at Popeyes or one year of General Manager experience at another concept, or recommendation from an Area Manager
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- The ability to calculate and analyze data
- Display effective leadership skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels
- Interpret Profit and Loss Statements
- Computer literacy
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management and experience in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
