Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility for controlling day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training team members, building sales to meet and exceed store plans, and ensuring company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling labor
• Ordering food and supplies
• Developing the restaurant team
• Maintaining inventory
• Managing labor
• Reviewing financial reports
• Taking appropriate actions
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures
• Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
• Conducting performance appraisals, counseling, and training the entire team, including developing Assistant Managers
• Utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies and community involvement to build sales
• Maintaining company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds through a preventative maintenance program

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of Popeyes managerial experience or one year of General Manager experience with another concept or recommendation from an Area Manager
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• The ability to calculate and analyze data
• Display effective leadership skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels
• Interpret Profit and Loss Statements
• Computer literacy

Qualifications

Individual must have minimum of six months Popeyes managerial experience or one year of General Manager experience with another concept or be recommended by his/her current Area Manager.
