ASSISTANT MANAGER
About the role
The Assistant Manager at McDonald’s is responsible for overseeing various departments within the restaurant, including Training, Food Safety, Inventory Management, Guest Service, Kitchen Operations, and People Management. This role involves setting goals, delegating tasks, providing feedback, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
- Set goals and delegate tasks to their teams
- Follow up on tasks and report results to the team and other managers
- Oversee the Guest Service Department, ensuring Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, sales promotions are done well, all service staff are trained in service procedures, and the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service
- Oversee the Kitchen Department, ensuring the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, fast, and safely, watching food costs, and ensuring all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new items added to the menu
- Oversee the People Department, making sure the restaurant hires qualified crew, trains them well, and schedules them to meet restaurant sales and profit goals, and ensuring Crew get off to a good start at the restaurant and are recognized and motivated throughout their time working there
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have a strong ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent communication skills, and a passion for serving others. Previous experience in a management or supervisory role is preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. English proficiency is required, and the restaurant offers educational advising services to help employees improve their English language skills.
Skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also beneficial.
