About the role
The Assistant Manager at Genghis Grill plays a crucial role in the operations team. This position impacts the assigned area of responsibility, including front-of-house operations, back-of-house operations, shift management, local marketing, and sales building. The role also involves ensuring customer satisfaction, leading, developing, and motivating the team, delivering a quality product, enforcing company policies, and maintaining safety and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Promote the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Run and manage shifts effectively with a focus on assigned area of responsibility.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and implement customer recovery strategies.
- Lead, develop, and motivate the team.
- Deliver a quality product and experience based on brand standards and operating procedures.
- Conduct effective pre-shift meetings during every shift.
- Enforce company human resources policies in all aspects of the manager and teammate experience.
- Enforce all food safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FDA and Health Department guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Extensive background in high-volume full-service restaurant food operations.
- Valid ServSafe certification.
- Detailed knowledge of county, state, and federal health codes.
- Knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations.
- Some knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus.

- Minimum high school education, college degree preferred.
