About the role

Zaxby's Assistant Manager is a newly created position for the grand opening of the Keystone Heights location on October 2025. This role offers competitive pay starting at $17 - $20 per hour, along with significant benefits including a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the restaurant delivers great guest experiences while maintaining operational standards.
  • Manage the restaurant's daily operations, ensuring the team follows all processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Make encore experiences for our guests.
  • Engage in hands-on station training and provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests.
  • Greet guests promptly and thank them as they leave.
  • Maintain awareness of current promotions and explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items.
  • Accurately complete orders and guest transactions, enter orders into the point-of-sale system, accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts.
  • Clean and maintain guest areas, including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior.
  • Stock paper goods, condiments, serverware, and beverages.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Create an environment of quality within your store.
  • Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment.
  • Operate the store to meet or exceed budgeted operating goals.
  • Ensure that all product quality standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 40 to 45 hours per week.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successfully complete a background check.

Capabilities Requirement

  • Manage all personnel on each shift, including cashiers and cooks.
  • Inventory management: the management of food costs.
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks and checklists are completed correctly.
  • Hire and schedule staff to provide quality guest experience while managing labor expense.
  • Ensure that daily cash drawers, safe, and credit cards are balanced.
  • Operate the store to meet or exceed budgeted operating goal.
  • Ensure that all product quality standards are met.
