Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable

About the Role

The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for reviewing and overseeing the procure to pay process.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a team of 1-4 individuals. Delegate and oversee all work performed by team members.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team.
• Review Accounts Payable processes with the intent to suggest process improvements that help evaluate, streamline, and document accounting processes to drive efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Troubleshoot Accounts Payable related questions and communicate solutions to applicable teams both internal and external while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School graduate. Some college preferred or equivalent bookkeeping/accounting courses or seminars.
• At least five years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Ability to use Microsoft productivity software including Word and Excel.
• Experience with Yardi is a plus.
