About the Role
The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for reviewing and overseeing the procure to pay process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a team of 1-4 individuals. Delegate and oversee all work performed by team members.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team.
- Review Accounts Payable processes with the intent to suggest process improvements that help evaluate, streamline, and document accounting processes to drive efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Troubleshoot Accounts Payable related questions and communicate solutions to applicable teams both internal and external while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Perform other duties as required.

Requirements
- High School graduate. Some college preferred or equivalent bookkeeping/accounting courses or seminars.
- At least five years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Ability to use Microsoft productivity software including Word and Excel.
- Experience with Yardi is a plus.

- Strong team player with a focus towards customer service.
- Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis.
- Strong organizational ability.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivate, multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
- A positive and professional attitude.
