Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
• Set the example by following all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
• Manage staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash handling, food management, scheduling, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain perfect image and adherence to standards, deliver great customer service, and ensure attendance and punctuality.
• Handle transportation to and from work, marketing efforts, and store profitability.
• Operate all equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory, complete associated paperwork, and clean equipment and facility daily.
• For delivery roles: Deliver product by car to customers’ doors, distribute flyers and door hangers, and navigate delivery routes.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions, including processing orders over the phone and in person.
• Strong math skills for accurate calculations, monetary change, and inventory management (may use a calculator).
• Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements, including typing on a keyboard or touch screen.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (for delivery roles) and access to an insured vehicle.
• Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain (e.g., multi-story buildings, private homes).

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., when removing trash, making deliveries, or distributing flyers).
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler), hot surfaces (ovens up to 500°F+), and sharp/moving mechanical parts.
• Requires talking/hearing on the phone, near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed standing, with work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
• Walking: Short distances and durations on surfaces like ceramic tile or linoleum.
• Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office area.
• Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck, stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high, and carry items like pizza sauce (30 lbs) or trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
• Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
• Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or cleaning walls.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients) for 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, lifting objects, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
• Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination for shaping dough, using a pizza peel, cutting pizza, assembling boxes, and grasping tools/equipment.
• Delivery-Specific:
  • Carrying pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing (e.g., stairs in multi-story buildings).
  • Driving within a designated delivery area, with multiple deliveries per shift.
