About the Job
As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for assisting with all store operations during your shift. This includes all cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example. You must follow ALL policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew. In addition, you’ll be responsible for assisting the General Manager with all store operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate all equipment
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler
- Prepare product to Domino’s standards
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Assist with all aspects of store operations, including making deliveries or assisting on the makeline if necessary
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
- Assist General Manager with staffing and scheduling, general administrative duties, maintenance scheduling and reporting, and any other tasks needed to ensure successful day to day operation of the store
- Other job-related duties as necessary to ensure smooth store operations
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (subject to review of Motor Vehicle Report)
- Must possess good navigational skills and be able to read/follow maps and locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings in order to deliver products if necessary

- Excellent communication skills: ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, ability to communicate verbally with customers to process orders both over the phone and in person, and ability to successfully communicate with co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Environmental exposures: Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions; sudden temperature changes (in-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas); fumes from food odors including cornmeal dust; compact work areas including walk-in cooler; hot surfaces/tools including oven reaching 500°F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
- Walking/Carrying/Climbing: Travel between store and delivery vehicle and to customer locations; carry pizzas and beverages; navigate 5+ flights of stairs may be required during delivery
- Driving: Use safe driving practices to deliver products within designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist at pizza assembly station (approximately 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously); forward bending at front counter and when stocking ingredients; crouching and bending occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas
- Reaching: Performed continuously up, down and forward; reach above 72" occasionally for oven controls, sign prices, and shelves; reach down for cornmeal or dishes; reach forward for toppings, cleaning, or phones
- Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential; continuous use of hands; shaping dough requires frequent and forceful forearm/wrist use; manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter; frequent/forceful pinching in assembling boxes; grasp cans, cutter, peel, and boxes
- Sensing: Talking and hearing on telephone; depth perception and near/mid-range vision for in-store tasks; ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces; far and night vision required for driving
