As an Assistant Manager at Domino's Pizza, you'll take charge during your shift, overseeing cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations. This is a hands-on role where you'll set the example for your team, follow all policies and procedures, and maintain high standards in food management, cleanliness, and customer service. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations
  • Set the example for your crew by following all policies and procedures 100% of the time
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and adherence to company standards
  • Ensure perfect image and cleanliness of the store
  • Maintain great customer service and attendance/punctuality
  • Handle paperwork, food management, and profitability tracking
  • Operate equipment, stock ingredients, and prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility daily
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated area (if applicable), including navigating multi-story buildings and adverse terrain
  • Distribute flyers and door hangers as part of marketing efforts

Requirements

  • Strong judgment, math skills, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to process orders
  • Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., shaping dough, using a pizza peel)
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry
  • Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area
  • For delivery roles: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and ability to navigate varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for most tasks on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces

  • Sitting for paperwork at a desk or table
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (e.g., cases of ingredients, trays of dough, pizza sauce)
  • Pushing/pulling dollies with stacks of trays (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force)
  • Climbing stairs or ladders for maintenance or deliveries (including up to five or more flights of stairs)
  • Stooping/bending forward at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients)
  • Crouching/squatting occasionally (e.g., stocking shelves, cleaning low areas)
  • Reaching continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, stocking shelves, or answering phones
  • Frequent and forceful use of hands and forearms (e.g., shaping dough, using a pizza peel, assembling boxes)
  • Eye-hand coordination for tasks like using a pizza cutter, entering orders, or handling cash

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., removing trash, making deliveries)
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas
  • Sudden temperature changes when moving between indoor and outdoor environments
  • Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust
  • Cramped quarters, including walk-in coolers
  • Hot surfaces/tools (e.g., oven temperatures up to 500°F or higher)
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
  • Sensory requirements: Talking/hearing on the phone, near/mid-range vision, depth perception, ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces, far/night vision for driving
