About the Role

Assistant Managers at Domino's provide managerial assistance to the store's General Manager, ensuring operating standards are implemented and maintained. This role requires adaptability, self-motivation, and a passion for customer service. Assistant Managers thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment and help maintain positive crew morale. They are responsible for pizza preparation, delivery, cash management, people management, and time management.

While performing duties, team members may work outdoors, in various temperatures, noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, or with dangerous equipment, sharp tools, fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals. The role is physically demanding, requiring repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, stooping, or kneeling.

Responsibilities

  • Count inventory and supplies on a nightly basis
  • Analyze labor and sales continuously
  • Ensure facility and equipment cleanliness based on company standards
  • Supervise employees efficiently
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new team members
  • Prepare and package food products
  • Clean and maintain the store and its equipment
  • Rotate commissary deliveries
  • Drop off nightly deposits and handle necessary paperwork in the General Manager's absence
  • Deliver pizzas and other products to customers within a designated area
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum two years of customer service or restaurant experience preferred
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to motivate and build cohesive teams
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and unscheduled shifts as emergencies arise

  • Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Unload bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck, and stack onto shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying: Carry large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray), and pizzas/beverages during deliveries.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).
  • Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. May require climbing five or more flights of stairs during deliveries.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients) for 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like operating oven controls, changing prices, lifting objects, scooping ingredients, or cleaning.
  • Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.

Team members may also use tools and equipment such as pencils, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Pay

Starting wage for Assistant Managers is based on prior experience, generally beginning at minimum wage. Raises are available based on performance reviews by Regional Supervisors.
